Biography
Danny young was born on 06 January 1980 in Banbury England.
Danny started playing the guitar aged 14 after a serious arm injury (aged 12) left him with partial paralysis of his left hand. His father Colin Young suggested learning guitar may help rehabilitate the use of his hand and arm which turned out to be a success. His father Colin Young was a big inspiration to Danny as he was an exceptional blues guitarist. Danny played in various bands over the years doing pub gigs, function work and worked in local music shops where he progressed his playing skills along side Tim Sole who showed Danny the path towards legato and sweep picking via Jason Becker's music.
As Danny is a family man, his music has always taken a back seat however, he had been progressing his playing style to a standard that he felt would be taken seriously when showcased to the world. Recently, Danny has been collaborating with his sister Aurora J Young who won the funk soul blues category at the peoples music awards in 2011.
Danny was was chosen as a top 20 sponsors choice finalist in the world wide contest Guitar Idol 3 gaining industry recognition as a world class guitarist. Danny is currently working on his debut EP which is due to be released late 2011 under “Digital Nations” which is a subsidiary of world renowned guitarist Steve Vai's record label “Favored Nations”
